Posts updated…

I just noticed that some of my more recent posts that feature screenshots weren’t allowing you to view the full size image. I have just been through and fixed that so now; for example, if you wish; you could go back to the post I wrote when I installed Windows 2000 on Virtualbox and view [...]

Thunderbird tray icon follow-up

Sorted, I found another add-on called moztraybiff. Unfortunately if disables the new mail notification, but should change the icon when I get new mail. Let’s just see eh?

Not available for Linux…

I just had a quick look to find a nicer theme for Thunderbird and maybe an add-on to minimise to tray. I was quite annoyed to find, as I have in the past with certain themes and that, this:

Last night I updated my whole system to Slackware-current, which I’ve not tried before. It was a very smooth [...]

3 week project – part 2

I spent some of yesterday tweaking, setting up a nice desktop using Fluxbox, choosing a file manager etc., but my major task was to get virtual machines on the go and this proved to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. It turns out that at the moment there’s a bug that [...]

3 week project

I have set myself the challenge of making my laptop work better. I’m off of work for 3 weeks and so that is my time limit… I figured that if it’s not completely usable in 3 weeks time then I’ll just put Fedora 10 back on it and wait for things to improve over time.
I [...]
